Death Cab for Cutie, who earlier this month announced a slate of spring tour dates, have now added a few dates during the summer as well. With the exception of the new stop at the Hollywood Bowl, Ra Ra Riot will continue as one of the supporting acts with Andrew Bird and The New Pornographers splitting one of the supporting slots.

Before heading out on the road, Death Cab for Cutie has one more thing to wrap up which is the release of a new five-song EP titled The Open Door. Featuring four previously unreleased track and a demo version of the track “Taking Bird” from Narrow Stairs, the EP will be available digitally on March 31st, at tour dates beginning April 7th, and at your local record store on April 14th.

Death Cab for Cutie announced a slate of US tour dates to take place with Cold War Kids, Ra Ra Riot, and Matt Costa lined up for support on the dates.

People.com reported earlier this week that Death Cab for Cutie front-man Ben Gibbard and actress/singer Zooey Deschanel are officially engaged. Deschanel released the album Volume One with M.
