This music conjures images in my mind of kids doing skateboard tricks on halfpipes and in drained swimming pools. Are they from California? I don't know. If all that Dogtown and Z-boys stuff had never happened, and was happening now instead, they might be soundtracked by this. Don't think that I mean they’re some sort of NOFX or Green Day or whatever wannabes. It ain't that kind of skate music. Bloc Party would sound like this if they were worth a damn. And knew what a skateboard was. But they aren't, and probably don't, and this band is, and sounds like it does. For the most part they play fast fast fast, and I'm guessing that the guitarist has a strong right biceps (or left, if he's lefthanded) from all that frenetic strumming (which sounds like a euphemism for onanism, but isn't). Okay, I checked. They are from California. Long Beach. I stand by the skateboarding comments.
