Like any good punk band worth its salt, Screeching Weasel has probably spent a third or more of its 15+ years of existence in a recording studio spitting out track after track for albums, singles, split-singles, benefit albums, label compilations, magazine giveaway flexi-discs, etc. etc. As well, for any band that wants to make it a little easier for their fans to keep up with their ridiculously prolific output, the rarities and singles compilation is almost a rite of passage. So, here stands Ben Weasel and his friends putting out their own odds 'n' sods collection for a second time bolstered with 31 tracks of fast songs, mid-tempo songs, loving tributes to their forebears, and pisstakes.

Besides the pure joy of listening to a solid punk band do what they do best, it is also fun to track the progression of the band over the years (the first song clocks back to 1989) and realizing that these guys know what they do best and have stuck to it for as long as they are able. Even the songs recorded just last year have the same bite and spittle that marked their early efforts.

Lord knows, this isn't the best place for anyone who isn't already a fan to start, but if this is your only opportunity to give a listen to one of the best punk bands that are still traversing the globe today, by all means pick this CD up. You won't be disappointed.
