I thought I would never find a band that has music that puts me in another place and another time. What amazed me more was that 5 average guys could produce such a masterpiece of music in this day and age of "made" bands and synthesized music.

When I first saw a picture of Rooney, I thought I was looking at an older group because of their style and appearance. Someone could easily assume that they dress in this manner to portray a certain image, but once you have heard the album, you will know it goes hand in hand. There is nothing fake about their image and passion to make great music.

Rooney is doing an excellent job by fusing the past into the present, which is what they intended to do. Coming from Los Angeles, I also think they have captured a real California feel. I feel as though I’m perambulating a beach whenever I hear Blueside, but this isn’t the only good song on the cd. I was impressed with the entire cd, and the mood for this cd varies. It’s obvious the members of this band take pride in music and it is reflected in the overall moods.

Something I can relate to from this album is the song Popstars, which touches on societies annoyance of fake music and fake people. This is a topic I know as a fan of great music can appreciate. The lyrical content is excellent, as each song has a meaning and or message. If you are looking for something unique, edgy, and an overall lyrical and musical masterpiece, please check out this group.
