During the lives of most people there is a phase throughout which classic rock is discovered and enjoyed. For the majority this phase eventually ends, for some, however, this phase isn't a phase at all, it becomes a way of life. This seems to be the case with the members of Parchman Farm. While others may have been content simply to plug quarter after quarter into a jukebox to hear their favorite classics, Parchman Farm decided to try and create their own with the release of a self-titled EP.

The four members are undoubtedly a talented group and with fuzzy bass and even fuzzier guitar licks, the Parchman Farm EP encompasses all aspects necessary to create a fitting classic rock tribute. It can be said that with respect to current musical trends that the band isn't creating more of the same, but the questions has to be asked, is more of 30-40 years ago really any better?
