Sometimes album artwork and packaging can really tell you what an album is going to be about. Take for example Moonlight Towers' second album Like You Were Never There. Laid upon a background of deep red is set a skull drawing with hearts as eye sockets. The case opens in a tri-fold fashion to reveal string-tied flaps encasing the disc leaving the impression that Like You Were Never There is a mass produced "I still love you" letter.

Giving the album a listen, it doesn’t take any serious metaphor deciphering to realize how accurate the album packaging is in presenting the lyrical subject matter. On "Born to Die" James Stevens sings, "You open up and tattooed your name on my heart" before proclaiming that "Love is born to die". The topic is far from original and although musically well-crafted, the power pop presented by Moonlight Towers on this album comes off the same way.
