Linda Draper
Keepsake
Planting Seed RecordsIt has been a little over two year since I reviewed Linda Draper's last album, One Two Three Four, and while her new album Keepsake didn't immediately grab me in the same fashion as One Two Three Four, all of the elements that make Draper stand out are present on Keepsake.
The trait that most distinguishes Draper is easily her voice. On tracks such as "Traces Of" and "Among Every Stone That Has Been Cast" the vocals are presented pristinely in their natural beauty while on other tracks, layering and light vocal processing offer a small twist that provides the album with greater variety and multiple views of Draper's vocal talent.
