Not exactly a comment about NY- there are young artists who emulate his style and delivery. I found this young girl who sang an amazing cover of Old Man on YouTube here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2q4pUxjSync

Musically trained as a violinist, I know the dynamics (no pun intended) of a great live performance. The difficulty of capturing that on film is another art form altogether. A Neil Young Fan since I was a teen, I have never had the opportunity to see him and his fabulous entourage perform live. This was an unexpected soul-lifting treat for me while browsing late-night cable TV. I feel enlivened and inspired and ready to face tomorrow. Of course the concert was a replay of a good part of my iTunes, but nothing beats a live performance and this movie was as close as I may get to hearing such an artist live. Thanks Neil. Thanks Jonathan.

Amen to all above. A non-pretentious typical Neil Young who can't help but be the artist he is. His songs both music and lyrics are enduring and have been a comfort to my soul my 30 years. Even though sometimes the lyrics are a bit of a ramble, they somehow ring true. I'll pick up the writer of the review on one comment: when Young talks of his daughter he said there was a time he wrote songs for girls his own age. Not her own age. Sorry to be a nitpicker! Thanks for the review.
