New Casiotone for the Painfully Alone EP Out Tomorrow

Town Topic CoverOwen Ashworth, the man behind Casiotone for the Painfully Alone was tapped by photographer and video artist Laurel Nakadate to create the music for his debut film, Stay the Same Never Change. The result of Ashworth’s reworking of previously created works is the film’s soundtrack: The Town Topic EP.

Opening and closing with the release’s sole non-instrumental tracks, the heart of the Town Topic EP are thirteen instrumental tracks that include four ringtones Ashworth created specifically for the film’s characters. Casiotone for the Painfully Alone currently has “Ice Cream Truck”, the EP’s opening track available for streaming on their MySpace page.
