In support of the recently released Town Topic EP, Casiotone for the Painfully alone is hitting the road with Portland-based ambient group Concern on a tour of the rust belt. It probably bears mentioning that the two men behind the groups, Owen Ashworth (CFTPA) and Gordon Wilson Ashworth (Concern) are brothers and have collaborated in the past including on a limited release single put out by People In A Position To Know earlier this year. The two also plan to tour Europe together in the Spring of 2009.

Owen Ashworth’s brother isn’t the only person getting some love on this tour, however. Ashworth is taking requests from Casiotone for the Painfully Alone fans via e-mail at casiotonetechsupport@gmail.com. Just send an e-mail with a subject line of the the city and then the word “request” and he’ll include it in the set. Pretty awesome!
