Chicago Public Radio is great. They are tops in my books primarily for producing two of my most favorite public radio programs: This American Life and Sound Opinions.

On top of that they’ve just added cool points by producing this feature on Chicago band Pinebender (MP3).

The band recently released their second album on Lovitt Records in November titled Working Nine to Wolf. A glance at their release statistics on AllMusic.com will reveal that their release schedule is much like their music, slow and deliberate.

“Polly Gray” (MP3), the fourth of eight tracks on Working Nine to Wolf showcases Pinebender’s ability to blend their dense, powerful sound with pleasing melodies to create a great result.
