Mark Lanegan’s next album, Bubblegum, on Beggars Banquet has received official release dates of August 2, 2004 for the UK and August 10, 2004 for those in the US. To help take the edge off for those just itching to get in on the action, Beggars will be releasing “Sideways In Reverse” and “Driving Death Valley Blues” as worldwide download singles on July 12th.

The new album features quite a slate of guests including Joshua Homme and Nick Oliveri of Queens of the Stone Age, PJ Harvey (vocals on “Come to Me” and “Hit the City”), Dean Wean, Afghan Whigs, and definitely the most exciting, Izzy Stradlin and Duff McKagan of Guns N’ Roses fame.

In support of the album, The Mark Lanegan Band will be touring Europe throughout August and September with dates in the US to be announced soon.
