The Agenda Breakup

Athens, GA based The Agenda recently announced their breakup via social networking site MySpace.com, Friendster’s faster cousin. The band, birthed from the rather incestuous Kindercore family, only released one album in it’s brief existence, 2002’s Start the Panic.

The message announcing the breakup was posted on March 2, 2004 at 8:15 PM and reads as follows:

hey kids i’m sure they’re about 7 or 8 people out in the world who give a shit but i thought it would be fun to announce our break up on everyone’s favorite gossip page Myspace. so yeah we ain’t a band no more. i’m sure England will be bummed. sorry to Ian and Must Destroy, you guys are awesome, thanks for bringing us over to the UK for a 2 tours and getting us on the bill and Reading and Leeds. it goes down as one of the top 10 most fun things i have ever done in my life. thanks to Har Mar Superstar, Panthers, I Am The World Trade Center, Jet By Day, Paper Lions, The Faint, The Locust, Whirlwind Heat and every other cool band we’ve toured or done shows with.

it ain’t no lie. bye bye bye.
