Now, not to make any assumptions because he already claimed his Jay-Z collaboration Watch the Throne was due in a week in early January, but still. He did it in CAPS LOCK and everything.

And by summer, new solo album?

Alina Simone Releases Demos Album

In the long waiting period between her last English language album, 2007′s Placelessness, Alina Simone decided to release an album of demos and outtakes on Bandcamp today.

Titled Raw Demos (2002-2008), it includes material from her first band, Disfarmer as well as demo versions of songs that appear on each of her albums (including a few in Russian), and one from the forthcoming Make Your Own Danger due in June.

Spoon Releases Demos / Outtakes Album

Wingman Single Slated for September Release on Fear and Records

Take a look at the image above of Wingman and tell me, what isn’t there to like? You’ve got records, comics, skateboards, and pizza. It is all good stuff and makes its way into the list of the Leeds, UK group’s list of influences as well as the subject matter of their solidly catchy songs.

The trio is going to be releasing their first single this September as the kick-off release of Fear & Records‘s new collection of limited edition singles. The series of releases which will feature ten bands over the next six months doesn’t just focus on music, but photographers as well.

Each limited run of 100 CDs will include a cover focused on a photograph and some of the discs in the collection will include hand-numbered Polaroids with an exhibition featuring the photos slated to take place at the close of the project with live performances from the bands.

Joyful Noise Releases New Marmoset Cassette Single

Leading up to their fifth studio album, Sour Notebook, Marmoset are releasing a new single “Doo Wop” with b-side “She’s Wearing Rings” on Joyful Noise Recordings. As should be clear based on the above image and post title, the single is going to be made available on cassette and will be available in a limited run of 100 copies hand-numbered by the band.

In addition to the cassette format, the two songs will be mad available digitally for free. In fact, we have both tracks available for you to download below and you can always get them directly from Joyful Noise.

The Charlatans Tour In Support Of Who We Touch

Toronto’s Chloe Charles is following up a performance this past NXNE with a tour of Europe. The European tour, which kicked off this past Friday, will take the performer through a number of stops in Germany, France, Great Britain, Ireland and Italy as she performs ahead of the release of her album Little Green Bud which is slated for release later this year.
