Chemikal Underground is reissuing Arab Strap‘s first two albums The Week Never Starts Round Here and Philophobia on August 17, 2010.

Leading up to the release date, an Arab Strap Reissue Twitter Contest is being held. By partaking in the contest you’ll get to watch videos featuring Arab Strap’s Aidan Moffat and have a chance to win an Arab Strap prize pack.

Sick Muse Anti Cupid

Metric held a contest for fans to make a video for “Sick Muse” and just announced the winner (above) as well as two runner-ups. You can check out the rest of the submissions over at Daily Motion.

In additional “Sick Muse” news, the band has teamed up with The Hype Machine to release a new remix of “Sick Muse”.

Danish band Mew will be touring the United States later this month in support of their upcoming release No More Stories Are Told Today / I’m Sorry They Washed Away / No More Stories / The World Is Grey / I’m Tired / Let’s Wash Away which is currently competing for longest album title ever. For five of the dates during their brief string of performances in the U.S., Mew will be supporting Nine Inch Nails and is giving away a few tickets tot hose New York, Chicago and Los Angeles performances.
