According to Billboard.com Tom Verlaine, best known for his work with Television, will be releasing two albums next year after signing on with Chicago label Thrill Jockey. The two albums will most notably be differentiated by one being solely instrumental while the other will contain vocals. A March date is scheduled for whichever album is chosen as the first release.
In addition to the two new albums, Thrill Jockey will re-issue Verlaine’s Warm & Cool album from 1992. There is also discussion that Television has seven new tracks ready for recording and if they get the album released in 2006, they’ll be maintaining a 14-year gap in between proper studio releases (Adventure in 1978, Television in 1992, and then this one in 2006).
