Broken Social Scene Near Completion of 3rd Album

Broken Social Scene’s next album, to be released on their own Ars & Crafts label, is nearing completion. The record which had been reported as being titled Windsurfing Nation may receive a different name, however. Recently bassist/guitarist Brendan Canning seems to be a little unsure of the title telling Billboard, “I don’t know if that’s a good title or not. It’s a funny title at the very least.”

No matter what it ends up being called, the album can be expected to see release in late-March or early April of next year with its completion arriving by the end of the year. Some of the tracks that should make the final cut are “Shoreline”, “It’s All Gonna Break”, and “Superconnected”. Broken Social Scene will be touring through November and December in Europe with guitarist Andrew Whitman’s Apostle of Hustle.
