With the cancellation of Lollapalooza Sonic Youth has been rescheduling it’s North American Tour Dates in support of their latest album Sonic Nurse. In addition to tour stops, Sonic Youth will be performing on Late Night with Conan O’Brien and The Late Late Show with Craig Kilborn.

Mr. Lady Records, home to artist such as Le Tigre, The Butchies, and The Quails, is officially ending its operations at the end of this month. In a message posted on the official website earlier this month, co-owner Dusty Lombardo expressed that shutting down the label was a “difficult decision to make” and that “the music industry has become a really difficult place to try and make a living.” Despite this, however, Lombardo indicated plans that the Mr. Lady website will be transformed into a source of information for those seeking to begin their own label.

Many of the artists formerly on the label are continuing to work on new material including Le Tigre who will still be touring this summer with Sonic Youth despite the cancellation of the Lollapalooza Tour.

NYC band The Fever is heading back out on the road June 17th in support of their latest album, Red Bedroom. The two-week tour will take the band through the midwest before hopping up into Canada. Following the tour The Fever will be playing two shows with Electric Six before performing at this year’s Siren Festival put on by Village Voice. Jade Tree recently announced September 21st as release date for The Oxeneers or The Lion Sleeps When Its Antelope Go Home, These Arms Are Snakes’ debut full-length following their 2003 EP This Is Meant to Hurt You.
